TOKYO, JAPAN TRAVEL GUIDE

May 20, 2018

Konichiwa!!!

Say Hello to this blog post all about my favourite city! I'm back in Tokyo for the second time around and I'm telling you that I don't even mind going for a third. I first came last December 2015. My family and I only had two days to explore the city as we spent the rest in amusements parks and in Osaka. This time I made sure to really experience Tokyo for how it is! The food, the culture, the people. Five days in Tokyo just to explore. No time constraints! And oh, cherry blossoms are in season as well.

Here is a guide to get you to experience Tokyo for how beautiful it is!

FLIGHT: I booked our flights through Skyscanner. The best website to compare all the cheapest flights from your city. I booked a Vanilla Air flight. We flew from Cebu City as I was home in the Philippines for three weeks at this time as well. You can also book through local budget airlines. Make sure you take note of this as budget airlines in the Philippines don't usually appear on Skyscanner.

HOTEL: When I'm with my family I always make sure that safety is the number one priority. Although, Japan is probably one of safest place to travel in the world. The Best Western chain is quite known worldwide. It is not a five star hotel but an above average hotel that offers quality service, clean rooms, and good food.

TRANSPORTATION: I opted for the Skyliner and Tokyo Metro Tickets. A return Skyliner ticket from Narita International Airport to the city center and an Unlimited Tokyo Subway pass for the number of days that we are staying.

ITINERARY: The Vist-A-City app is the most convenient way to find an itinerary that is suited for you and the number of days that you are staying. The app is so easy to use!
